"RPZ" Backflow Prevention Device

"A Reduced Pressure Zone Device (RPZD, RPZ or RPZ valve) is a type of backflow prevention device used to protect water supplies from contamination. RPZDs may also be known as reduced pressure principle backflow prevention devices, or reduced pressure zone assemblies."

A customer in Northbrook called Reliance Plumbing to test and certify a "RPZ" Backflow Prevention Device that is required every year by the village. This valve is used to protect our potable water supply and is usually connected to lawn sprinklers or fire sprinklers. In order to test these devices plumbers must have a valid plumber license and be certified by the EPA in Cross-Connection Control Device Inspector. Reliance has several plumbers that are certified and have the equipment to do the job right the first time.
